Living the Truth Ministries

Something is missing!!
Have you ever wondered….?? God has given us supernatural resurrection power, clear instructions for living in His word, and offered wellness for us and our children forever (Deut. 5:29) as well as fruitful living, yet our living is often dull and exhibits our failure to live by the sufficient grace that God has given us. Something is missing. We have tried all the spiritual exercises: read the Bible through every year, heard the sermons preached, memorized the verses, sang the songs and choruses, and had daily devotions. We have mastered the Bible but the Bible has not mastered much of our lives or living. Do we need something new? I think not. We probably need something so old that it appears to be new. Let me call it a process–The Biblical Living Process.
The Biblical Living Process: Simply stated, it is the process whereby we take a portion of scripture and process it through four steps: Knowledge, Understanding, Wisdom and then mix in some faith and walk the scripture. We will then be fruitful in every good work (Colossians 1:9-11). This process is embedded in many portions of scripture such as Nehemiah 8 where they read (knowledge), caused them to understand. Wisdom was the application from the reading (build booths), and then they went forth doing what they had read. The results were great gladness.
Our Christian culture has gotten stuck at the knowledge stage. We treat knowledge as the end of the process instead of a necessary first stage in a four-step process. When we get filled up with knowledge without birthing that truth in our living we either get filled with pride or our hearts get hardened because we have aborted truth (failed to birth the truth we know, hear, study, and memorize).
We pursue aggressively the knowledge end of the process. Let’s pursue the walk end of the process (keep, take heed, do) with even greater diligence. It’s not the verse we memorize but the verse we take heed to that brings cleansing, not the sermon heard but the sermon lived, not the song sung but the song lived, not the way we know but the way we walk.
The four steps in the process are used in many areas of life to turn facts into fruitfulness. Only the manual and the instructor are different. A flight instructor takes a manual through the four steps and makes a skilled pilot. A conductor takes sheets of paper with musical notes and guides people to make beautiful music not recite memorized notes or hear lectures about notes God has given us a manual and an instructor. We need to cooperate with the instructor by processing the manual through the entire process so that truth is displayed and God is glorified and pleased. Then and then only will our lives be fragrant and fruitful.
I wrote a manual on the Biblical Living Process when I taught the subject in a college in the 80’s. I hope to make that 200 page manual available on this website in the future. The Biblical Living Process is used as a guideline for all of my preaching, teaching and publications. A revival of Biblical Living in all areas of life at all times is our goal through the teaching of the Biblical Living Process.
In 1979 I was sent by a church to preach and teach on Biblical Living in other local churches. From 1979 through 2008 we averaged seventy three-day conferences across the USA and Europe. We have been in over 400 churches and have held over 1700 three-day conferences. We have preached over seven thousand sermons while traveling over one and a half million miles. Hundreds have responded to the messages, pastors have been encouraged, saints have been equipped, truth has been confirmed, individuals have recovered from the snare of the devil (II Timothy 2:26) and many have received the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour.
